Installation by Thurle Wright - Artist in Residence
The Faculty of Art & Design’s celebrations of the school’s Bicentenary began with welcoming Thurle Wright, our Artist in Residence. Working in the Christine Walker Gallery to create an installation celebrating 200 years of Caterham School, Thurle used the school archives and resources donated by every part of the the school community, to create an installation on the walls of the gallery. Mainly working in paper Thurle’s finished installation saw paper folded into many shapes, forming‘embroidery’ on the walls of the space she had worked in for seven weeks.
